My Name is Michelle Market and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and wellness coach. I love helping individuals improve how they feel about themselves by challenging negative self-talk, building self-esteem, and creating a healthy relationship with food.

I enjoy helping individuals create and foster a healthy lifestyle. Whether you are struggling with a negative body image, low self-esteem, or having a healthy relationship with food, I will provide you with the tools and support needed to overcome the obstacles that are getting in the way. I provide individual counseling as well as group support for individuals struggling with eating disorders and low self-esteem. I believe it is possible to have a healthy relationship with food. Lets work together to uncover what is getting in the way to live the life you desire.

I have spent the last twelve years in the counseling field, first in corporate wellness and now as a Licensed Professional Counselor, Wellness Coach, and speaker. My mission is to create and maintain positive change in the lives of my clients. I view the therapeutic and coaching process as a collaborative journey of discovery and growth.

I hold a Master’s Degree in Counseling from George Mason University and a Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition and Foods and Exercise Science from Virginia Tech.   A blended educational background in counseling and nutrition has allowed me to offer a unique wellness approach when handling issues related to:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Emotional eating
  • Binge Eating Disorder
  • Compulsive Overeating
  • Eating Disorders (anorexia, bulimia nervosa, and eating disorder NOS)
  • Negative body image
  • Self Esteem
  • Stress Management

I am pleased to be part of the Virtual Therapy Center Community. I am looking forward to working together.
